HITTING CLINIC FOR U14 PLAYERS ONLY
TNT Minor Hockey is proud to offer a U14 Hitting Clinic for players entering U14 for the 2026/2027 season.
This clinic is specifically designed to prepare athletes for the introduction of body checking at the U14 level and to ensure they are confident, safe, and technically sound heading into evaluations and the upcoming season.
The clinic will be led by Steve Matthews (PUCKSHY), who brings extensive experience in player development and body contact instruction.
Sessions will focus on:· Proper body checking technique· Safe angling and positioning· Receiving contact safely· Balance, core strength, and edge control· Building confidence in contact situations· Understanding the rules and responsibilities of body checking
IMPORTANT – This clinic is only offered to current U13 players who are registered with TNT Minor Hockey Association for 2025/2026 season!
At the U14 level, body checking becomes an important part of the game. Our goal is to teach players how to deliver and receive contact safely and effectively while maintaining respect for opponents and the integrity of the game.
This is a valuable opportunity for players to gain the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to transition successfully into U14 hockey.
