TNT Novice AE
We would like to give some kudos to our Novice AE team.
Their playoff run needs to be noted. After losing all their games in the preliminaries this team of "little kids with big hearts" turned it around. Their next two series' were up against very large centres; Aurora and then Markham.
They quickly fell behind to Aurora by 2 games but battled back to take the next 3 games and the series. All the games were decided by one goal. Next up was Markham, the first placed team in the regular season. We took care of them in 4 high scoring games.
That gave them a birth in the OMHA final against the Milton Winterhawks. Milton turned out to be a very strong team although it took overtime in game three to decide the final game. A 5 to 4 victory for the Winterhawks.
I can tell you there were a few watery eyes on both sides after this game.
Let's look forward to seeing the OMHA finalists banner hung at the NTRC!!
Congratulations to the players, coaches, staff and parents of the TNT Novice AE team. It was a great season not to be forgotten.
