Minor Midget AE, Tourney Winners!!!
Submitted By Webmaster on Thursday, September 17, 2015
The TNT Minor Midget AE's got their season off to a terrific start by putting together a great effort this past weekend to win the Orangeville Fall Classic.
This is our second team to win at this tournament.

The tournament started with a hard fought 3-1 victory over the Richmond Hill Stars on Friday. This was followed up with a 5-1 victory over the Milton Winterhawks on Saturday afternoon. On Saturday evening the boys put in a solid effort in taking a 2-0 lead over the Orangeville Flyers before falling behind 3-2.  With the goalie pulled the boys rallied in attempt to tie the game before giving up an empty netter and losing 4-2.

The team qualified for the semi finals on Sunday afternoon and faced off against rivals the Georgina Blaze. In another hard fought battle the Tornados won the game 4-2, sealing the victory with an empty netter in the final minute. This set up a rematch with the Orangeville Flyers in the finals that afternoon. This game was a thriller and was tied 2 to 2 after regulation time.  The 4 on 4 overtime was scoreless so the game went to a shootout. After no goals by either side on the first three attempts, the shootout became a sudden death shootout. The Tornadoes scored a goal on their fourth attempt while the Flyers did not score on their fourth attempt. Final score 3-2 Tornados.

Way to go boys, great victory, great effort, great start to the season!

We are very happy to announce that as of February 20, 2021 we will be resuming our season.  Since Simcoe Muskoka is in the “Red Zone”, there are many rules and changes required in order for us to return to the ice.
