We still have 11 teams playing hockey!!

Tyke MD—Our youngest team is in the Consolation Semi-Final against the Unionville Jets. If I employ a high level analytical system to determine a winner it says a Tornado beats a Jet every time…plus with Shannon W. on the bench victory is only a matter of time! :)

Novice AA—This team has played a lot of hockey this post-season and have been winning quite a lot. In those 15 games they are 12-3-0 and have strung together 7 wins in a row. They are now in the York Simcoe finals, they will play the winner of the Stouffville/Markham series.

Novice AE—This father and son coached team are in a round robin with Markham and Richmond Hill. The top two teams will play for the York Simcoe championship. Here are the standings thus far;

Minor Atom AE—These guys are on a 6 straight win streak with a combined score of 32 to 5. That is some serious O and D! They are going to have to wait at least until March 18 to see who they will play in the York Simcoe final, it will be either Barrie or Newmarket.

Minor Peewee AA—Well here we have the Heart Attack Kids sailing through the competition on their way to a York Simcoe Championship. They are waiting to see who they will beat…I mean play in the final. It will be either Newmarket or Richmond Hill. Come out and watch Grace and the boys play hockey, a very talented and well coached bunch of kids…some of the best passing and teamwork I’ve seen.

Minor Peewee AE—Currently down 2 games to 1 in a York Simcoe semi-final. Game 4 is on March 18, 4pm at the NTRC. A cold hockey rink is definitely where you want to be after St.Patrick’s Day!

Peewee AE—In a York Simcoe semi final against the Waxers. The series is tied at a game each. Game 3 is tonight in Markham.  We’ve lost to them 3 times in the regular season but we took game 2 from them with a shutout win.

Minor Bantam AA—This highly talented team is also in a semi final against the Waxers. We are down 2 games to one and lost game 3 by only one goal. Game 4 is on the 18th, 5:30 at the NTRC. Unique fact about this team is that they have an Australian on the bench, go figure, eh? Hopefully the kids can understand him cuz I usually can’t… ;)

Minor Midget AA—Our lone team left in the OMHAs. Game one went to us 6 to 0, game two went to them 7 to 0…so what does that tell you? I have no idea but game 3 went to us which is all that matters. It was a more balanced game with a 5 to 3 final score. Game 4 is at the NTRC on March-18th at 7:00pm.

Bantam LL 2—In a group 3 consolation final against the Nobleking Knights (2) team. We are undefeated in the last 4 games going 2-0-2. Game one is in Nobleton on March 20, game 2 is on the 21st at the NTRC at 8:30pm.

Midget LL1—is playing in the group 2 consolation championship against TNT Midget LL 2. Should be a fun series as each team has home ice!  Come out and watch these hockey players go at it. Some of them are in their last season with TNT.
