That gave them the opportunity to play in the Silver Stick finals this past weekend in Pelham Ontario. There was a total of 16 teams spread across 4 divisions. TNT Peewee AE went undefeated in the first 3 games winning 7-0, 7-4 and 7-1.
They won their division which put them against the Oakville Rangers in the semis. It was a hard fought game by both sides. TNT only scored one goal but that’s all they would need as the final was 1-0. Our goalie and defencemen came out to play in this game.
On to the final and for the Championship. The game as held on a smallish rink which added to the stress level for a game of this magnitude. After a back and forth affair the final was 4 to 3 for TNT over the Centre Wellington Fusion. The margin of victory could have been greater but TNT had 2 goals called back.
Our team was wearing #4 on the back of their helmets in tribute to Avery Andrew, a local teenage hockey player who tragically lost her life in an accident a few weeks ago. The team would like to dedicate this win to Avery and her family.
Congratulations to the players, coaches and families of TNT Peewee AE!!!
