2021/2022 Season Update
Hello TNT Families!!!

We hope this update finds you all healthy and safe.  It has been a long time coming and we are excited to be able to finally provide an update for the upcoming hockey season.  We are very hopeful that this upcoming season will be somewhat “normal” for our hockey families.

TNT is busy preparing for the upcoming season and we are very hopeful that we will be able to open registration on July 15, 2021.  Please keep an eye out on our website for updates. Once registration is open, a link to register will be found on our website.

When the time comes to register, there will be a new Hockey Canada Platform in place.  Hockey Canada has upgraded their platform to Hockey Canada 3.0.  What does this mean?  Each participant will be required to create a new user name and password for hockey Canada.  Once you have done that, you will be able to search your child’s name together with their birthdate to locate their profile as long as they have played hockey before and have registered through Hockey Canada.  You do not have to create a new profile for your child unless it is their first time registering with Hockey Canada.  Please do not try and create a new username and password until registration is open.

Our house League program will be running from October 16, 2021 to March 6, 2022.  This program will be offered for birth years from 2017-2004.  If your child does not fall in one of these birth years and is interested in playing, please contact Erin at [email protected]

As many of you may already know, tryouts for our rep program are being held in September this year.  If your child is interested in trying out for one of our rep teams, they will be able to register for tryouts when they register for the season.  Please note that you must be registered for tryouts if you plan on trying out.  You cannot just show up to the tryout.

TNT is always looking for volunteers.  If you are interested, you will be required to complete the following:
1. Police Check
2. Respect in Sports for Leaders – If you completed the parent course, it does not count.
3. Gender Expression and Identity Course.

If you would like to be part of a bench staff as a trainer you will be required to complete the trainer’s course as well.

If you would like to volunteer to be a trainer or a coach, here is a link to the OMHA website where you can find all of the courses that are required to be able to volunteer/coach. https://www.omha.net/coach .

Seeing as tryouts are in September, we are asking volunteers to get a head start on the courses as our season will be up and running quite quickly.

TNT understands that Covid may have made some tough times for some of our families.  If you are experiencing financial hardship and your child would like to play hockey, please contact our treasurer at [email protected]  All inquiries are kept confidential.  TNT does not want any child that wishes to play hockey to not be able to due to the cost.

TNT continues to look for sponsors.  If you or someone you know is interested in sponsoring, please contact Agnes McLachlan at [email protected] .  We appreciate any sponsor that we can get as it lowers the registration cost for our hockey families.

That is all for now, please stay safe and we can’t wait to see you all!!!!

Remember to subscribe to our website so that you are kept up to date.

Sincerely, TNT
