The Quest Continues
As the quest continued for this juggernaut Minor PeeWee Ae team, the boys matched up against another tenacious opponent, the mighty Aurora Tigers. The last meeting was a back and forth affair with our boys eventually coming out on top. Let hope this would be the same.

As the quest continued for this juggernaut Minor PeeWee Ae team, the boys matched up against another tenacious opponent, the mighty Aurora Tigers. The last meeting was a back and forth affair with our boys eventually coming out on top. Let hope this would be the same.

In the first period the young stars came out flying. 3 unanswered goals to take the all dangerous sleeper lead.  Goals scored in this period by Zachary “Warrior” Williamson, Robert “All Star” Allen and Elijah “Electrifying” DaSilva. Assists by Damien Futas, Nate Holmes, Greg Prock, Bryce McKnight, Brayden Vienneau and Taylor Smith.  The second saw some see-saw shifts. Tiger goal, Tornado goal, Tiger goal. 4-2 after 2. Goal scored this period on a tic tac boom by “Breakaway” Vienneau from Jacob Jackson and Reed Schlosser. With the game tucked away in the third, our boys were happy to slow up. The Tigers wanted nothing to do with leaving without a point and clawed their way back to a 4-4 tie. A Lord Stanley type celebration ensued.  Great start stars. Play to the end.

The next day the boys hosted the mighty Markham Blue Waxers. The message was clear. Play to the buzzer.                                                                                                                   The first period the home side came out flying. First goal by Michael “Make no Mistake” Allen from Jackson  and Schlosser. Second of the period from “Dangler” Futas from Holmes and Cal Virtur-McCague. 2-0 after one.      The second saw the boys add four more. Tallies by “Breakaway” Vienneau (2), “Juggernaut” Jackson, and “MnM” Allen. 6-0 good guys.  The third was more of the same as the stars added 3 more but if it weren’t from the star studded saves from Logan “the Wall” MacLellan to keep his shut out, the game would have been much closer. Make the final 9-0 phenoms. Goals by “Howitzer” Holmes,  William “the Wizard” VanderZaag, and “Juggernaut” Jackson. Assists from Grayson Madore, McKnight, Williamson, Virtue-McCague, Prock and Futas. Great three point weekend boys.
